As if a complete redesign for the 2010 model year wasn’t enough, the Kia Forte is making its mark on the automotive world.
And it starts with a whole lot of recognition and awards.
After being named the Edmunds.com Consumers Top Rated Vehicle Award, the Forte followed it up with the Forte making it onto the list of MSN Autos “Top 10 Cars Under $15,000” award – a nice one-two punch for a car that barely resembled the model year from before.
A good chunk of that recognition came from the unusually spacious legroom for a compact car like the Kia Forte – allowing both those in the front seat and the back seat to rest comfortably and a high-ceiling for those who might be a few inches taller than they were in other compact models.
“This is one of those cars where the front and back passengers don’t have to fight over leg room, and that’s rare for a compact,” Kia County Sales Manager Dan Espino said. “And that’s one of the things that people can attribute to the redesign.
Sleek and stylish, the Forte has become a hit with both new drivers and commuters that appreciate the gas mileage.
But unlike most compact sedans and coupes, the Forte was recently awarded the “Top” safety pick by the Insurance for Highway Safety – the guiding light when it comes to assessing the safety of a car in almost any type of collision.
The Forte scored high marks in frontal, side, and rear impact tests, and was the first time a good performance rating was given in a rollover crash for a car of its kind – something that Kia takes great pride in.
And that’s not all that Kia is known for.
With a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty, the Forte boasts one of the best warranties in the entire business – something that has been its namesake ever since the South Korean auto manufacturer burst onto the scene.
The combination of modern and high-tech interior – which includes trunk space – is just one other element of the model that has people buzzing, and the Forte LX and EX models are powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine that features continuously variable valve timing as well as 156 horsepower and 144-pound feet of torque.
Kia Country is located at 1515 N. Main Street. For more information, visit them online at www.kiacountry.com, or call them at 239-6203.
